Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) G S Prendergast joined the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) in January 2014 as the Executive, Administration and managed the Services Department as a part of his portfolio of responsibilities. The Services Department provided Property Management and Project Management Services for JNBS. He was appointed General Manager, JN Properties Limited on 01 February 2017 and appointed Managing Director on 15 March 2024.  He has tremendous leadership and management experience and in fact served as a Commissioned Officer in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) for over thirty (30) years. He was also seconded from the JDF to the post of Commissioner of Corrections, Department of Correctional Services during the period 22 March 2010 to 30 June 2013. ​
